On Saturday, she watched as her home was auctioned off in Dallas. “The final farewell to my house,” Pottsboro said. “It means so much to all of us. It’s not just a house.” Auctions on foreclosed houses are an opportunity for some and agony for those who’ve lost their homes. From July through September of this year, more than 2700 Americans lost their homes to foreclosure every day, according to The Associated Press. In Texas, almost 9200 homes entered the foreclosure process in September. On Saturday, Pottsboro took her seat among the crowd, waiting for house No. 73 to be called. Marilyn Mock, a small-business owner from Rockwall, Texas, had accompanied her son, who was interested in buying a house, to the auction that day. Mock was sitting near Pottsboro and noticed that she was upset. “She was crying, and I asked her what is she upset about, and you know, she lost her house,” Mock said. This is the very car that “Mr. Four-Speed,” the legendary Ronnie Sox, piloted to 14 dominating wins in the 1971 NHRA season. The ’71 ‘Cuda represented the pinnacle of performance for the Chrysler factory drag racing program and also for the Sox & Martin team, as oppressive weight breaks, the discontinuation of the Hemi and rule changes favoring tube-framed small-block racecars conspired against Pro Stock Mopar racers. Nevertheless, the Sox & Martin ’71 Hemi ‘Cuda’s spectacular racing success that season stands proudly in the record books. The ‘Cuda has been treated to an extensive restoration to its 1971 race configuration and is in exquisite condition. It sports the best that the factory had to offer that year, including the famous 426 Hemi with dual-plug cylinder heads, dual quad intake and of course, the 4-speed transmission that Ronnie Sox shifted with such virtuosic skill. It is finished in the original eye-grabbing, red, white and blue “Sox & Martin” livery and never fails to draw huge crowds. Video Rating: 4 / 5

Looking to travel to Acworth, Kennesaw, Marietta GA area. I’ve looked online, but all the websites want to charge you to register or to see the vehicle. I want to find a location and go in person. A list of websites/locations is what I’m really looking for here. Thanx in advance
